Campbellsville Taylor County Rescue
Campbellsville Taylor County Rescue exists for the purpose of protection of life, property, environment, and to assist business, industry, and all citizens in Campbellsville and Taylor County.

Services are provided to approximately 23,000 residents of Taylor County, which covers 285 square miles. This includes most of the 8200 acre Green River Lake as well as the largest portion of the 16,000 acres which the Corps of Engineers maintains for the Green River Lake Recreational area.

Campbellsville Taylor County Rescue's public relations program has grown enormously throughout the past years. Two times per month Rescue offers Adult CPR and Standard First Aid classes. Infant and Child CPR classes are taught quarterly. Rescue provides standbys at local community and athletic events such as civic functions and football / basketball games for our area school systems and Campbellsville University.

Civil War

The Battle of Tebbs Bend at Green River Bridge is a well-known portion of Taylor County's history. Col. Orlando H. Moore's men were from Michigan and some Taylor Countians served under Confederate General John Hunt Morgan. Unfortunately for Morgan, history saw a stunning Union victory at the Battle of Tebbs Bend on Green River.

Fourth of July

Campbellsville is host to one of the biggest 4th of July celebrations in the state. More than 25,000 people turn out for fireworks, country music concerts, and more. Historic downtown Campbellsville offers 190 businesses and services.
